Corpus Christi attracts a lot of people each year for a reason. We have various tourist attractions and remarkable places to kick back and enjoy what our coastal oasis has to offer. If saltwater fishing isn't the only thing that you want to plan on your agenda for your get away, we have plenty more to do here. Here's a top few of my personal favorite attractions...
The Texas State Aquarium. From being able get up close and personal with bottlenose dolphins, take a walk through various aquatic exhibits or even getting the ability to touch stingrays (ones without barbs)... The Texas State Aquarium is a great place to understand and learn about the species and wildlife native to our coastal waters. Our aquarium isn't just fish or a boring walk through. It is also home to some other magnificent species such as vultures, a bald eagle, alligators, otters... you name it. And they're STILL expanding! Check out their scheduled shows to watch handlers work with these creatures, see scheduled feedings, and educate the audience on wildlife conservation and why it's important to learn about our ecosystem. It's an engaging, beautiful, fun experience! Make sure to take a camera!

The Art Museum of South Texas. Our art museum has over 1,500 works in the permanent collection alone, with Texas and surrounding state interest throughout each work. The temporary exhibits keep visitors engaged for new incoming pieces, so you can easily plan your trips to experience new works and artist each time you visit. This museum is also a huge supporter of local school art competitions and will hold annual displays of students' and upcoming brilliant artists' work throughout Corpus.

The USS Lexington. A World War II-vintage Essex Class aircraft carrier, one of the world’s oldest aircraft carriers, serves as a naval aviation museum right next to our aquarium.

The Beach. This one is probably already on your to-do list. We have several beaches to choose from. If you're interested in fishing off the beach, I suggest Padre Island National Seashore. Rather fish off a pier? Bob Hall Pier is a popular spot for that, and also is a very popular beach spot as well.
Horse Back Riding on the Beach. Regardless if you're a beginner rider, experienced, or never touched a horse before, horse back riding on the beach in Corpus is a fun experience and gives you a beautiful view and a fun memory.

Hurricane Alley Waterpark. Another water park option! We're obviously popular for beach and water activities here in Corpus Christi.

Have enough ideas yet? And that's not even all Corpus has to offer. Corpus will definitely keep you busy and you'll surely want to come back if you're visiting! Another suggestion... you'll probably need sunscreen.
